Design brief

Smarter Communities is one of the largest strata and community living management organisations in Australia, covering thousands of strata plans across the country.

With most strata bodies lagging far behind in digital transformation, Smarter Communities engaged Digital Garden as a part of a wider transformation project to get ahead of the game.

Our part in this project was to bring strata information to the fingertips of property owners - anywhere, anytime, any device - by creating an online portal for Smarter Communities to engage with their lot owners and community/strata managers 24/7.

IA, UX, design and development

Working closely with Smarter Communities and their technology transformation partner, Red Seed Solutions, Digital Garden designed and developed this new customer portal on Drupal.

Bringing strata to the fingertips of property owners

An ability for lot owners to vote for strata motions online i, view building information, make levy payments, retrieve and read documents, and change their details.

Community managers can create meetings and motions, tally motion votes in real-time in the lead-up to meetings, and communicate easily with their respective lot owners.

Available as a web app

The portal is also available as a web app via the Android Google Play store and the iOS App Store.

Results

An ability for lot owners to vote for strata motions online is the first of its kind in Australia.
