ICMS is a leading business school offering a balance of management training as well as practical experience and a key driver for their website redevelopment project was generation of new business – new students – both from Australia and overseas. The new site had to not only be focused around the user experience with a fresh contemporary interface design but also be available across all devices from desktops and tablets to smartphones. In addition the business processes of enquiries and student applications had to be streamlined and integrated with its CRM system to make tracking and follow ups quicker and easier to maximise potential students enrolments.
Digital Garden’s team consulted with not only the stakeholder group but also the students and candidates to develop an overarching digital strategy from SEO considerations, user personas, user stories and content strategy to produce a roadmap for the website project. Interactive wireframes were tested with users to ensure optimal site usability before developing a fresh, modern design for the brand online. The fully fluid responsive website was built with Drupal as it’s core content management system with modules integrated to allow content managers to be able to create, edit and publish fresh content as well as create campaign specific promotional landing pages.
Enquiry form submissions and enrolment applications were integrated into SugarCRM to track and manage candidates through the application and admissions process.
Overall feedback since the site went live in early 2014 has been very positive. The brand has a refreshed “digital position” in the private education sector and is attracting considerably higher volumes of website traffic. More importantly, however, the number of new candidate applications in the first 6 months has already exceeded total number of applications in the whole of the previous year.
