Government changes to the funding regulations for the aged care sector in Australia shook up the industry, with the consumer in charge of the services and providers they choose to use. SummitCare recognised the need to position itself strongly in the market through a new service line – In-home care. With this came the need to refresh the website design and bring its online presence towards a more intuitive user experience as well as ensure that the content could be found by users anywhere, anytime and, importantly, on any device. This was particularly important for family members of aged people who may need a bed in a home directly from a hospital bed.
From in depth discussions with the SummitCare operations team and the new in-home care team, Digital Garden developed a Responsive website that would render content optimally across all devices including desktop, tablet and smartphone. It clearly positioned SummitCare as a forward thinking and user-friendly brand amongst the target audiences.
The website was also integrated into a new CRM system (SugarCRM) so that all new enquiries would be captured directly and workflow alerts sent to the business development team for immediate follow up.
Overall the feedback from the managers within SummitCare has been very positive giving the site design and usability a big “thumbs up”. Not only that, the marketing team is now able to see clearly the website traffic and the conversions to new leads directly in the system. Their lead to sale time has been greatly reduced as the team is able to respond to new enquiries faster than its competitors.
As the site begins to gain greater traction, additional features such as ePayment is being scoped to allow guardians of patients to be able to pay invoices online rather than by cheque.
