⊓⊔mobile is an exciting mobile phone and plan supplier company, in the Australian telco space, that have a new way of operating. They aim to give their customers great products, prices and customer service, allowing them to be able to return or swap their phones and change their plan at any time.
⊓⊔mobile partnered with Digital Garden to architect and build them an online e-commerce platform, and members area, which is the shopfront to the ⊓⊔mobile business. The site integrates into multiple systems including:
- Payment gateway, Braintree
- Online chat functionality from Zendesk
- Google Analytics tracking
- Marketo as a CRM
- Operating on the Telstra network
- A telco platform that manages plans and transactions
Digital Garden worked closely with the ⊓⊔mobile team in an agile scrum methodology, where we addressed features incrementally in an iterative approach through sprints. The aim of each sprint was to have a self-contained body of work of a defined length, with concrete and tangible outcomes defined in the sprint planning week. This approach allowed the new mobile team to make design changes and decisions on the fly, throughout the development life cycle, as the platform evolved.
The end result is a first-class ecommerce platform and members area, which allows users to have complete control of their mobile plans.
