Koda Capital is not your everyday wealth management firm. A new entrant into the financial advisory services market in late 2014 and headed by some of Australia’s most respected wealth management executives, Koda provides a truly independent and transparent advisory service focusing on the client rather than products.
As an independent wealth management firm, Koda aims to shake up the industry as part of a reaction against the traditional, somewhat outdated, vertically aligned business model where advisers sell in-house products from the financial institutions they work for.
The new website was required to clearly position the new player quickly in the market and gain credibility amongst a potential client base of financially sophisticated high net worth individuals, families and charitable foundations.
The website development project was to create a fresh and contemporary design for the new Koda Capital brand and ensure the content was available to the target audiences on all devices including desktop, tablet and smartphone.
As a startup business trying to break the status quo in a traditional market it was important for the Digital Garden team to work closely with the founders to fully appreciate the brand’s positioning and gather the functional requirements accurately to deliver an online experience that was true to Koda’s brand essence.
Koda Capital’s website was developed on a Drupal CMS platform with a professional, yet fresh and contemporary design to appeal to a target audience looking to find financial advisory services. It clearly helps the website visitors understand the Koda Capital difference in positioning its independence, experience, skills and focus on the end client needs. It also allows Koda to take the “high ground” through news and insights section where relevant and timely news articles are posted.As part of the project Digital Garden implemented an enquiry form for potential clients to be able to request further information about key areas of financial advisory services of interest.
Although still in its early days, the Koda Capital team and those close to the management team have received positive feedback to the new website and already journalists are making enquiries about the business and its foray into this sector.
Only time will tell about the success or otherwise of the new website but from a design and functionality perspective the project has delivered exceptionally well and as the business grows it looks forward to developing new features to further enhance the user experience for Koda and its clients and prospects.
