Established in 1997, travel.com.au is Australia’s leading on-line travel company and its website is critical to the company’s success.
The website design hadn’t been updated since the site’s original launch in 1997 and needed to be refreshed in line with the company’s new corporate identity.
We redesigned the company’s website according to their new brand guidelines. The client wanted to ensure the technical implementation of the changes was as seamless as possible with minimal impact on their internal tech team. Therefore Digital Garden decided to keep the HTML page structure that's outputted by the travel’s content management system and relied solely on CSS style-sheets to change the look and feel of the website.
In addition to their website, we also redesigned the company’s electronic newsletter.
Six months after the launch of the re-designed website we were commissioned by travel.com.au to assess their corporate online booking engine, Arnold Travel Technology. The system is designed to manage the needs of corporate travel, and was in a desperate need of a redesign. We worked on usability issues, introduced JavaScript functionality and provided them with a complete visual redesign for the entire system.
