GetJealous.com is a leading Travel Blogging service, allowing travellers to keep an online journal of their trip while they move around the world. Having provided this service since 2002, the rise of indirect competition from social networks like facebook, myspace and bebo, GetJealous needed visual re–design which distinguishes itself from the competition.

what we did

Digital Garden redesigned the Get Jealous website, creating a corporate identity and a series of different design templates so that travel bloggers could individualise their web pages.

Our technical partner Green Wombat built the architecture of Get Jealous using php with a MySql database, which now handles 20 million page impressions every month. They also developed the members’ area functionality that allows uploading of photos, movies, and interactive mapping.

The rising popularity and competition from facebook saw Digital Garden in conjunction with Green Wombat successfully integrate Get Jealous into the facebook Application Framework. The facebook app has given Get Jealous another avenue besides word and mouth too organically and virally expand their readership of followers.
